Dr. Dre & Eminem Grammy Performance

Eminem
The evening began with a tribute to the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, but by the time the last of the 53rd Annual GRAMMY Awards was handed out on Feb. 13, several other singers and bands looked something like royalty. Foremost among them was Lady Antebellum, which walked away with three trophies while the group members earned two more each for songwriting categories.

Leading the nominees with 10 nods revolving around Recovery, an album that detailed his struggles with addiction but also reestablished him as a rap force to be reckoned with, Eminem took home trophies for Best Rap Album — a triumph over rivals including Jay-Z, Drake and B.o.B — and Best Rap Solo Performance for “Not Afraid.” Onstage, his swagger proved undiminished.

A flame-haired Rihanna opened Eminem’s performance with a searching rendition of their duet “Love The Way You Lie,” but it was Slim Shady who came out blazing, spitting the lyrics to that song before raging into “I Need A Doctor” with Dr. Dre and Skylar Grey; Adam Levine from Maroon 5 handled piano duty.

So, Eminem only took home two trophies (Best Rap Album and Best Rap Solo Performance) – after leading the pack with 10 nominations. Whats your thoughts?

Dont second guess yourself. Look at Snoop Dog. He has spit nothing relevant that you havent produced. Eminem and his comedy rap sucks (he needs you), if he isnt rapping angry, he for some reason doesnt flow. You are the king of RAP PRODUCING. Rap needs to make sense again, say something, and rhyme. I listen to Little Wayne and say, I thought that went out with NO LIMIT RECORDS. Please save Rap. Bring back the dog pound CAMP. Six months secluded and colaborate.

I also wrote a piece on the Detox album ^ but I for one am hoping Snoop doesn’t end up on the album, he has become nothing but trash lately.

Eminem is a lyrics genius. He make such amazing songs. Thank you, Dr. Dree, for believing in Eminem, for doing everything you could to show him to the word. We all love you for that!
