Dr. Dre & Eminem perform at Beats Music LA show

Dr. Dre’s powerful rolodex was put to good use for the launch of Beats Music with a concert featuring Eminem, Diddy and Nas.
Nineties hip-hop was the theme for Dre’s party Friday night at the Belasco Theatre in Los Angeles. Eminem and Dre closed the night, performing the hits “My Name Is,” ”Forgot About Dre” and “Lose Yourself.”
“Thank you for being here,” Dre told the feverish crowd, who jammed along as classic rap hits played back-to-back.

Paul McCartney, Drake, Selena Gomez and Macklemore were among those who attended the tightly packed event.
Mase reunited onstage with Diddy to perform “Mo Money Mo Problems” …

Coachella Backstage: Dr Dre’s Message to Fans

On Sunday night, April 22 when he’s set to close Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, Dr. Dre posted a video message from the backstage of the event. The rapper thanked his fans for all the support they gave to him, and took time to talk about rumors suggesting he would tour with a virtual Tupac Shakur.

Coachella 2012 Lineup: Dr. Dre & Snoop Dogg

Dr. Dre will close the 2012 edition of the annual Indio festival, to be held for the first time over consecutive weekends, the first April 13-15 and the second April 20-22. Headliners for the multi-weekend, six-day affair include rock acts the Black Keys, Radiohead and the Shins, as well hip-hop and dance acts Snoop Dogg, the Swedish House Mafia and Kaskade, among many others.

Tickets were initially sold for the 2012 festival nearly a year in advance of the event. Three-day passes went on sale via Coachella’s official site for one week in June. In prior years, tickets were not sold …

Eminem, whose new album is expected to top the U.S. pop chart next week, made a rare appearance at a music-industry bash on Friday to honor Dr. Dre, the hip-hop pioneer who made him a superstar.
