Coachella 2012 Lineup: Dr. Dre & Snoop Dogg

Dr. Dre will close the 2012 edition of the annual Indio festival, to be held for the first time over consecutive weekends, the first April 13-15 and the second April 20-22. Headliners for the multi-weekend, six-day affair include rock acts the Black Keys, Radiohead and the Shins, as well hip-hop and dance acts Snoop Dogg, the Swedish House Mafia and Kaskade, among many others.

Tickets were initially sold for the 2012 festival nearly a year in advance of the event. Three-day passes went on sale via Coachella’s official site for one week in June. In prior years, tickets were not …

Eminem, whose new album is expected to top the U.S. pop chart next week, made a rare appearance at a music-industry bash on Friday to honor Dr. Dre, the hip-hop pioneer who made him a superstar.
Dr. Dre received the Founders Award for career achievement during performing rights group ASCAP’s annual Rhythm & Soul Music Awards ceremony at a Beverly Hills hotel. Dr. Dre scraps show appearance

Dr. Dre was forced to scrap an onstage reunion with rappers and Eminem and Snoop Dogg at the last minute after his bodyguards were involved in a car accident.
Snoop Dogg was to be joined by “surprise guests” Dre and Eminem when he took the stage for the Our World Live concert in Los Angeles on Tuesday, according to the New York Daily News.
But Dre bowed out after his security staff crashed their car in bad weather, and the rapper was advised not to attend without bodyguards.
